Welcome back everyone and thankyou to all my new followers!
As it’s nearing the end of the year I thought I would share with you all this very enlightening data sheet I found showing stats based on just one average minute of the internet!

This really illustrates the domination of the internet on everyday life. It’s hard to perceive the sheer volume of data generated but this image clearly adds perspective and simplifies overwhelming data.
So what does this mean for you?
When developing a brand or a business in the age of the internet you must evaluate all market places. If for instance you use social media; Instagram stories is the frontrunner but that doesn’t necessarily mean you should pool your budget into Instagram story ads, you may find instead it’s a saturated place and difficult to be noticed!
TikTok is rapidly rising in popularity but is it really the ideal platform for you to use, remember just because it’s popular doesn’t mean it’s automatically right for you!
If you keep up to date with new updates of the social media you use for your business it will be easier for you to pick up on the best ways to monetize/advertise and be noticed first!
Another clear trend unsurprisingly is the uptake of Zoom and Microsoft Teams with more people working from home this will likely continue well into next year. With this new way of working you have to evaluate your productivity and costs to find what works best for your business.
Clearly the internet has been more important this year than arguably any other! The trend will likely continue into 2021 but who will be the next rising app or brand to take market share?
What do you think of these facts?
